Video Evidence: Watch Moussa Sissoko Show Eric Dier How He Feels About Him

By The Boy -

All the farewell GOAT posts in respect of Moussa Sissoko’s departure to Watford I saw online were something I found particularly unconvincing, and whilst the thumping ball into was clearly an accident, this ‘ejector seat’ move on Eric Dier was less than ‘part and parcel’. A decent referee would’ve caught it. Sadly, those remain few and far between.

This incident really makes one wonder about the state of the dressing room at Tottenham – or do you believe this to be quite normal/harmless?

Absolutely agree re the Sissoko sentiment. A horrible footballer who got marginally better over time, and worked quite hard, probably – and that was enough that he’s now regarded as some sort of cult hero.

He is a decent guy, but he arguably cost us the most important game of our recent history. I certainly won’t cry my eyes out over his departure.

Looks like good defending from Sissoko, just muscles Dier out of his running space, no complaints from Dier who just regains focus rather than lying prostrate demanding a VAR penalty look. As for Sissoko, clearly a player lacking in football skill and quality but someone who overcame a horrendous start to put in some energetic performances. Of course there was some humour in the songs, originally they were sung ironically but he actually ended up being OK. “Who needs Bale when you’ve got Sissoko”

I took the fans singing and the online comments to be sarcasm and sarcasm alone. Everyone knows sissoko was bang average and actually a bit of a comedy act at times

I must have missed the season he was a driving force. He was and still is utterly useless. Midtable mediocrity at best. Which is where he left us.

Ditto on the reply. On Sissoko I’d say he was a mixed bag, yes couldn’t shoot for shit and his passing left much to be desired but in the 2018/19 he was the driving force in the team and a key factor in the run to the CL final. Came up with some big moments e.g. his run led to the winner against Inter and I think his performances alone that season merit the sentiments.

I have to agree with JG’s comment below. Spurs fans seen to have gotten so used to mediocrity over the Premiership era that even a player like Sissoko gets all this “you’re Spurs and you know you are” treatment when he departs.

Sorry, he was an overpriced (at the time) punt that failed to improve the team one iota. Some kind of half hearted attempt to fill the gap left by Dembele’s decline. A pretty dreadful signing let’s be honest. His presence in the team was in direct correlation with the team getting worse.

Nothing at all against the guy, seems like a nice guy so good luck to him. Otherwise, very happy to see the back of any player that did very little of note…

I’ve been surprised at the out pouring of sentiment toward a player (Sissoko) who has been nothing short terrible in a Spurs shirt.

Newsflash….He’s not a very good player.

If today’s fans think his performances were anything less than terrible. Then they are part of the problem. If we as fans accept such mediocrity from our players then it’s no wonder we have won nothing in two decades and have chairman who fails every time he dips into his deep pockets come transfer window time.

I wish Sissoko no ill will. But please, stop with the sentiment.

I mean I don’t see anything sinister in this? When I play my mates at sport I like nothing more than to get one over them. I don’t think this one action suggests anything more than that.
