Video Evidence: Was Sonny’s Disallowed Goal Really Offside?

By The Boy -

The Leicester City game was about fine margins and damaging them by not taking our chances. In this game we were exposed to two such examples. The Harry Kane goal that went in, and the Heung Son-Min one that was disallowed. Was it truly offside? I think we’ll need VAR to cast its eye over matters, which would sadly leave us at the mercy of the FA’s traffic zealous wardens.

VAR is going to be in use for the semi-finals and final. Yes, if you remember 1991, Lineker had a perfectly good goal ruled out for offside, against Forest, which could have cost us.

The replays showed it was clearly onside. Where is VAR when you need it! … lol

The side referee was distracted.

The mow lines on the pitch make it clear; well onside. But then it looked pretty obvious to me before I saw any replays. If the final’s won/lost by a single dodgy decision like that we might all appreciate VAR a tad more.

Commentators reckoned it was onside, me too from the lines on the pitch.
