Video Evidence: “Stop making excuses for them” “Stat padder” Many fans take issue with Peter Crouch’s insight

By The Boy -

Crouchy trotted out the usual Harry Kane narrative last night, that Harry Kane is above all of this hoo-ha, but the reality is Kane also served up an equally unmemorable performance in the Champions League final.

Could it be that Kane is great Tottenham’s level, but struggles when the heat is on?

It looks highly unlikely that the England captain is going to win much if anything at all, anytime soon with Spurs, and it will be interesting to see what path Kane takes and if in a properly run side, he can win anything.

I’ll listen to any fan.. As long as they don’t belong to ‘Arsenal tv’… Low intellects.

He hardly had a sniff. Our backs played well in that final. We had the ball for the majority… Tintin Dele and Winks lost us that game they did nothing and not for the first time. Our midfield lost us that. Kane wasn’t great either but again he was coming back from injury again then. Very ignorant management to leave Lucas on the bench, and the in game manager decisions were too little too late as always. No savvy amongst many of our players. This must infuriate Maureen more than anyone.

I would have done similar with Kane. That team was good enough to win, most of them were Botch first teamer trustees. It’s time now for alot of these to move on… Not pay rises like whats been happening. They need to go.

He gave himself a 3 million bonus for his stadium work🤦‍♀️ on top of his 4 million salary at the time…… Levy owns Spurs. Lewis is the majority shareholder and Levy owns the rest… He’s never going to sack himself.. Same as Abromovich.. He has to sell his shares to give up power.

Being Arsenal fans, though, we shouldn’t really be surprised that they have it in for Kane, should we? Good for you, though, for amplifying their voices here and encouraging dissenting opinion.

Don’t misunderstand me.I am in no way ignoring Levy’s position is all of this.I’ve called him out in enough posts in the past.

Mourinho is suffering in the same way that previous managers have at Spurs.None have been properly backed and the squad refreshed. That’s why we are also runners.

That will never change until either ENIC is gone or Levy is sacked and a football man is brought in.

Spot on with Kane. I fear the squad neglect has been one of the reasons he’s become rather injury prone and may end up resulting in a shortened career.

Other than that, this is no longer the team Poch took to the CL several times, including the final. The names are the same, but that’s where the similarities end. The players are incapable of producing what they used to, and they weren’t capable of that under Poch anymore.

They’re older, more experienced, but usually worse. Judging by Hugo’s comments, some of them are now outright toxic too.

We needed new players when Poch was here, and it didn’t happen. Now we need them still. And we will still need them if Jose goes.

When the CEO of a proper business goes 100% over budget and one year late in delivering the project, he is normally sacked. Not only is Levy guilty of incompetence over the new stadium, he has been an absolute disaster in delivering success on the pitch. the other point to consider is whether he has irrevocably harmed the brand. He’s well past his sell by date.

Mourinho was saying in the week before last night’s game that the tie was not over yet and we needed to be very aware of that.

Why was it then that he didn’t start his strogest side from the start?Try to get a minimum of one goal before halftime which would have put all the pressure on Dinamo.

Then he could have substituted our best players out for the weekend.Whether they play 45 minutes before or after halftime makes no difference to Sunday’s game.

That is on Mourinho’s head, however the abject performance by just about all the players was telling. That wasn’t a team playing for the manager it seems.

But sacking Jose isn’t going to solve the problem.Once again that would be the cheaper option for Levy, rather than investing money in improving the squad. It’s a vicious circle we find ouselves in under the syewardship of ENIC.It’s Levy who should be sacked by Lewis. But I doubt that is likely to happen.

Another way of looking at it is Poch managed to get this team in champions league year after year and even get them to a champions league final.

The players that looked rough around the edges under Poch look broken now. I think the argument could be made that we needed new players not a new manager with the same players that let Poch down again and again.

Kane isn’t fit though and wasn’t fit in the Champions league final and the poor guy has been trying to carry this team through injuries and tiredness for most of his career.

The honest truth is Kane is not 100% fit after his last injury, you can see he wasn’t running comfortably all game, it would’ve made more sense to bring him on for the last 20-25 & start with Vinicius.

If we had started with our strongest team [Reggy, Toby, Ndom, Lo Celso] we would’ve qualified, but it would’ve affected our performance against villa.

Maybe Jose didn’t believe we could win the Europa, so picked a midfield to once & for all expose Sissoko & winks so in the summer Levy either opens his wallet or Jose walks.

He was still injured when playing in the CL final, the whole team froze that day how many games he’s won it for us in the past ? We had the same shots on target than them, the goals scored were two individual brilliance / naive defending but I can’t remember we were able to open up their defence too many times ? Not many clear cut chances and to think we only needed one goal. Villa game is now so important !!

Harry Kane came back a month early from the ankle injuries, picked up a knock to his knee, has been overplayed for years and is expected to carry this team on his back.

He’s exhausted and probably not fit but Mourinho and Levy are desperate for him to play as they need that Champions League spot. Any doubters about Harry Kane, you’ll find out just how good he was when he’s gone.

Yes he would. The MSM dont like Citeh, they would hate to see Citeh sign Kane so put out the Too Old , Injury Prone vibe . Whereas if Manure were to sign Kane it would be Biblical.

(Shhhh. Jose bad, remember?)

You are right of course. Jose thought he could trust last night’s lineup to at least not f-ck up a 2-0 aggregate lead, but he was wrong. He can’t play the same team every game, Reguilon was injured recently, as was Aurier, Toby is 32, Hojbjerg was out – and the same people who argued against Kane starting will now say Jose should have played Ndombele, Lo Celso (also coming back from a long-term injury), Bale and I don’t know who else.

Some have had in for the manager since day one, and I can only hope that they will be more lenient with the next guy, whenever he comes in and starts a new “project” with the same players that never won anything under Poch, probably won’t under Jose and quite probably won’t under anyone else.

Of last nights starting 11, Loris, Sissoko, Winks, Dele and Kane started the CL Final nearly 2 years ago, and Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Lamela and Moura were not considered good enough to start.

Yes, our entire back 4 of last night were all on the bench for that final, and people want us to believe that Jose has been backed!

He has 2 -3 new starters, Reguilon, PEH and Ndombele, the rest are stale leftovers or sloppy second transfers.

How long before we are linked with signing Orsic?

How many points did we get in three matches he missed through injury.
He would walk into almost any team in the world.
If that’s the sort of abuse he’s getting on social media from keyboard warriors who in the main know nothing about football ,I suggest he move to a club where the fan base is more cerebral.

We will probably see next season, or the one after. Kane has done a lot for us and it’s a bit unfair to expect him to drag the team out of the mire himself in addition to all that he’s been doing.

Yes, he should have scored yesterday, but I suppose the expectations we have of him are weighing him down sometimes. “If I don’t score, no one will.”

I maintain that at City he would get 40 goals a season.

Could it be that bale was also great at one time. Put him in a top side will he win anything oh yes he did. That’s why players want to play at teams like City,, Madrid, barca, juve and bayern. They have top players top managers and pay top wages. Harry has to decide because in a team of dolly mixtures with a revolving door manager a chairman and owner who equate success buy the size of the money made rather than cheap silver won he will never be able to be truly judged.

I think he’d probably do alright in a properly managed team.
