Video Evidence: Steven Bergwijn’s Dribbling Ability On Point In Europe

Stevie B is another Tottenham player who is finding the suddenly competitive nature of José Mourinho’s squad tough to acclimatize to, and he will need to work hard to keep his place in the Portuguese’s pecking order.

Against Ludogorets in the Europa the boy was afforded 27minutes by the gaffer. Question is, did Steven show enough with his time? His passing accuracy hit 82%, 4 out of 5 dribbles were successful, and the 23-year-old won 5 out the 9 offensive tackles he made.

More, please.

Totally agree and kind of my point. I think Bergwijn has better delivery, but if he doesn’t try to get past the defender we’ll never see it.

Azza couldn’t cross though, no end product.

There’s attacking danger in that little player. Form confidence boom. Good squad (impact sub when he’s ready) we’ll never lose money on him. good signing

Think a lack of match time for several of the squad is not allowing them to quickly reach full fitness nor giving them the opportunity to prove their worth.
It’ll be a few more weeks for some to be sharper & fully match fit & it’s probably a little hard for some to maintain or regain some confidence.
But, when they’re ALL ‘on it’ THFC have a squad (& the manager) to beat ANYONE!

I’m not sure the addition of Bale was foreseen when he was signed. Him Moura, Dele are all second or even third choices now. Hard for Bergwjin to get a rhythm in a new league now in his situation.

His decision making is poor at the moment and he had a great chance to score but he panicked and snatched at the chance. I thought he was better than any other performance this season. For the pace he has I want to see him running at defenders and putting in crosses. He has a great right foot on him, he just needs to be more like ‘Azza Blud’.

I don’t think he is firing on all cylinders, since the start of the new season he looks a little out of sorts as if he is not sure of his role, but there is a player in there and hopefully he finds his mojo.
