“Simply Unstoppable” Spurs Ace Has Football Journalists Cooing

By The Boy -

Bale is a player that when he isn’t lost in the mists of his own self-doubt, needs no introduction, and has few equals. I suggest you pay particular attention to the extraordinary intelligence and supreme finesse displayed in the first shot assist. Most players would’ve perhaps hoped to chisel a corner out of the situation. Bale not only had the wit to create an opportunity, but he also put the ball on Sonny’s head. Alas, the Korean appears to have been born with a sponge for a neck, but it was a brilliant action.

The plaudits for the 31-year-old have been fife since the victory, John Cross called Bale “simply unstoppable” and Matt Law was quoted by Walesonline as saying “José Mourinho now counting on the man he seemed so reluctant to pick”. Matthew Cooper of The Express added, “That patience is now paying dividends, with Bale back producing the goods on a regular basis for Spurs.”

4 shot assists/key passes.

We got 72-minutes from Bale against Palace, in which he created 4 fantastic chances – which 3 were part of his 3 out of 4 successful crosses.

Only Sonny made more attacking third passes for Tottenham.

Yes, it’s crazy there’s only a couple of points to 4th. Fixtures have been kind last 3 weeks, next 3 will be telling.

He was decent for 25 minutes vs Fulham 😉

Still not good enough though I agree.

Jury is out but I can see him getting even more confidence in the NLD, esp if he scores – and that could be the final boost he needs.

I’m not sure it’s all too late, business end of the season and we’re in with a shout of achieving our goals in all three comps we’re still involved in (realistically we were always fighting for 3rd or 4th in the league).

With the relegation battle still open and Spurs finding some form the season’s actually come to life again a bit, should be interesting, I was getting worried it would have been a dull end to the season – was expecting ‘fingers crossed in the Cup Final’ and hardly bothering to follow the rest.

Rooney and Derby getting rid of all associations with BLM and no longer taking a knee. Spreading around now thankfully….
They’ve gone for “black and white together”. Bit of unity. Well done.

Exactly. Non existent against Fulham even. It’s march, for the hype and cash surrounding the 2nd arrival you can’t turn up 2 months before the end of the season. Utd and Everton, plus the NLD approaching…..let’s see what happens there but it’s all too late really.

He was excellent but I think it was Souness who raised the one note of caution yesterday: has he performed at this level against any of the big teams yet?
