Video Evidence: Gareth Bale Gives Dele Alli A Yellow Card For Diving

By The Boy -

Dele Alli almost cut an authoritative figure against this 8th tier Northern Premier League Division One North West side, Marine AFC this evening. However, this particular moment was almost certainly the biggest in-game highlight as the player José Mourinho consistently cannot find a starting berth in a THFC Premier League game.

Whilst Dele made some good moves, to those of us used to Mourinho’s methodology, we will have viewed the performance for what it was.

Aww, seems a bit harsh, he can only play the card dealt to him, and he was the best player on the park for an hour.

Give the boy this, he has a good attitude. At least he’s not doing a “Danny Rose’ and crying to press every ten minutes.

Running around on the practice pitch is not the same as busting a lung in an actual match.

Dele was magnificent for 45 mins against a non league outfit so he should be. When he was oiked off he was tiring badly. It was the right decision. However, GB is as much a concern e with his lack lustre efforts

This match defined the gulf between Mourinho and Pochettino.Mourinho treats every competition, every game and every opposition with respect. Every game is there to be won. This mentality is permeating more and more in the squad with each player talking about the importance of the next game rather than the one just played. It is the same sports science as elite tennis players who only focus on the next point to be played. This is such a quantum leap from the Pochettino mindset of some games and some competitions are not worth bothering with. Once that mindset permeates it is impossible to switch it on again in the important matches. The respect showed to Maine brought praise from far and wide and enhanced the reputation of THFC and its players and supporters. Only a world class manager can recognise how significant such behaviour can be both inside and outside of the club. Bravo Jose.
