Video Evidence: Forget Jack Grealish, Spurs’ Free Kick Magnet Disrupted The Hell Out Of Villa

One of Jack Grealish’s party tricks is to steadily rack up free-kicks during games, he is one of the most fouled players in the Premier League. The Villa ace’s current mean average for winning spot kicks is a shade under 4 per game. Yesterday, Lucas Moura was fouled on 6 occasions.

The effect of this style of play is nothing shy of infuriating to play against and to some degree a dark art that has been played to great effect under The Special One.

More, please.

A good guy who loves Spurs and is now evolving into the driving force of the team. Love to see it.

And he seems to love the club, or at least the fans. I was in the South Stand when we beat Huddersfield 4-0, with Lucas getting a hattrick.
At the end, after he was awarded the match ball, he collected his son from the crowd, probably about 2yo, and they passed the ball between each a few times to Ole Ole choruses from the stand. Memorable.

There was an element of sh*thousery that reappeared yesterday which hasn’t been seen since the drop in form around Christmas.
Too many Spurs fans decried it as “not the Tottenham way” but if you look at the first half of the season, we ground out some brilliant results we had no business getting, and let’s be honest, we all got a bit giddy-goats sitting at the top of the table.
Yesterday’s performance wasn’t great by any stretch of the imagination, but the aggression was back and if that continues, we’ll be in a good place for top 4. Moura, to be fair to him, showed a lot of hunger and jumped on every stray ball, and it paid off with him setting up play for the opener.
Long may this continue.

Ironically despite his size, he is the best header of a ball in the club. His timing and spring are amazing. Are you watching Dier, Aurier, Davies, Sanchez et al.

He has been in good form over the past few weeks. Playing more centrally seems to suit him. His defensive contribution was good yesterday as well particularly his defending of the near post at corners. When he heads a ball clear it really is cleared. I hope our centre halfs were watching.
