Tottenham’s soft underbelly has plagued our progression for at least the last 20-years. José has stood in a lot of dressing rooms, he’s met a lot of footballers, and took him no time at all to work out that Hotspur Way was packed with nice boys. Whilst I’ve no desire to see Spurs deteriorate into a well heeled version of vintage Stoke, the frailty had to go, because nice boys don’t win anything.
Lo Celso is technically gifted, and as canny as you like. The Argentine picks up 2.14 fouls a game, which to give you a sense of what I’m applauding, Jack Grealish averages a remarkable 3.98 per game!
More, please.

Genius!
ban that PR disaster Tappa too. You are pushing “….it is silverware that most fans want and if they get there playing awful football I am not sure most Spurs fans will care” – I am sure the majority are with Bill Nick. We’ll see when we get back in there. Like you I have 40+ years service- I was seduced by tales of Tommy Harmer, Bill Nick’s boys and Jimmy Greaves, by watching Ardiles, Hoddle, inspired by Thomas, Mabbut and Roberts, mesmerised by Waddle and Gascoigne, appreciated the skill and vision of Carrick, Modric , wondered at Dembele and celebrated the goals of archibald, crooks, lineker, klinnsmann, sheringham, keane, berbatov etc. Football and footballers.
I laughed at Chavski, with the vulgar tainted money and their anti-football manager and admittedly I cast an admiring sly eye at wenger’s football and success. I blushed with pride as fans of other teams paid tribute to our football under Jol, Redknapp and lately Poch. I fondly remember teddy and Jurgen being clapped off by the kop, the crowd standing and clapping in Instanbul, the gooners imploding at the effeminates, the Milanese lauding us, the look on Pep’s face, the mutual love in with Ajax in Amsterdam and then Madrid. How you approach the beautiful game is critical or as you like to say, the metric. The reality is, we’ve been lacklustre and poor to watch for 2 years now. Poch briefly ignited the flame, but it was not really allowed to breathe, slowly suffocated to the detriment of all. Enic confirmed it had no interest in the club going to the next level, the lane came down, investment went to “regeneration” instead of squad, we added some debt for good measure and now have a fantastic commercial retail destination location so us client reference numbers have plenty to do while we bore the other lot to death.

Yes David , with hindsight Levy was wrong , but many Spurs Fans were not enthused by Grealish signing back in 2018. Personally, I liked what I saw, even then . We have to move on regarding signing him now though. Levy missed out. Big Time.
Good luck with your next online home Gavin.
Sadly having Levy missed out on this transfer in 2018, as Grealish won’t be joining us it’s purely academic!!
‘explain soundbite merchants peacocking on live tv’ no thanks.
Okay, time for a break from you.
Bored with the propaganda.
Explain Roy Keane’s “lads, it’s Tottenham line”
Different types of player, Gio and Tangy can operate deeper. Grealish would play as part of the front 3 or 4 for me.
I like Gio though, always have done. Right attitude no nonsense Argentine. Poch’s Boy…
IMO maestro ultra confident Jack Grealish is more talented and influential than Lo Celso I reserve judgment on Lo Ceslo and Ndombele. I know which one I’d rather have in my side and it ain’t Lo Celso!
And now injured.
This blog is becoming increasingly deluded. We have had plenty of snide, niggly players over recent years. We seem to lose our heads quickly when we are losing. We also seem to get away with most of it. This strange notion that we are not an aggressive side is just bizarre. Poch was well versed in the dark arts. Rose, Lamela, Ali even Kane with the way he plays sometimes. Stop peddling this ‘we are soft, naive’ line. It’s just not true.
Jose’s ‘c*nts’ are hardly setting the world alight either… 🤔
