Video Evidence/Analysis: Nick Pope Looks Mustard But Would He Join Spurs?

By The Boy -

The Sun amongst many believe that Burnley’s Nick Pope is favourite to

Valued at just some £15million, the 28-year-old is certainly potentially affordable IF the Clarets could be persuaded to part with him.

Looking at this season’s current Premier League rankings, Pope is out-performing Hugo Lloris and most other top-flight goalkeepers. One question we don’t know the answer to is would Pope join Spurs? With Burnley in the 15th spot in the league, then yes, Spurs would be a step-up, but what would Nick be getting himself into, at a club without a settled defence?

If they get relegated then don’t bet against Baldy going for him. For cheap. It was almost his speciality.

Just because they are 15th has nothing to do with the price of their prized assetts. No way will he be sold at anything less than 50 million.

Your having a laugh thinking he is valued at £15 million. Try 50 million .
Jist signed a new contract and will be increasing his England cap count this year.
Yes TH is a step up but not on the cheap.
Burnley no longer need the money as was the case 5 years ago.

Looks so self assured, he looks a quality keeper with a level headed approach, like him a lot.

If he’s open to moving on, I think we’d be an attractive option. Yes, our defence has looked woeful at times, this season, but we’re still 3rd best, in terms of goals conceded (surprised me, that one); and Mourinho will surely be focusing on that back line as a priority, this summer. Under those circumstances, he might feel there will be a ‘time to settle’ period afforded to him; and/or it’s a good opportunity to establish himself quickly, in a new look, defensive unit. The likely draw of European football could also come into play. We certainly need to shake things up back there; and he looks the real deal to me
