Alessandro Bastoni is a name on Spurs’ radar. According to Tuttosport the Inter defender could be worth as much as £54million. This certainly appeals to me, as this implies a level of competency that has been absent from our backline for some time. The days of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderwiereld are some way in the rearview mirror.
Bastoni has the lot. A cultured left foot and positionally, the boy is in a different division to the likes of Eric Dier and Ben Davies et al.
I’ll just say he will take a lot of persuading to leave Milano.
