Tottenham leading the race to sign attacking midfielder with 11 goals & 6 assists

Tottenham have recently shown a keen interest in securing the services of promising young talents.

Since Ange Postecoglou’s appointment, Spurs have bolstered their squad with the addition of prospects like Ashley Phillips, Alejo Veliz, and Lucas Bergvall.

And as per latest reports, they are looking to raid their London rivals for another promising youngster.

Tottenham leading the race for West Ham wonderkid

According to ESPN, Spurs are actively pursuing West Ham United wonderkid Daniel Rigge ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The report claims that Spurs are leading the race for the promising youngster but, face competition from other Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Rigge has made a significant impact for the West Ham U18 side, playing a key role in their success as they currently sit second in the South table, trailing only behind Chelsea U18.

The English prodigy has been prolific, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists in his 19 league appearances this season.

Having initially honed his skills in the academy setup of Manchester City, Rigge made the pivotal decision to join West Ham’s esteemed youth ranks in the summer of 2022.

His rapid development and consistent performances earned him his first professional contract with the Hammers in October last year, securing his services for an additional two years.

Given the strong interest from top clubs in the attacking midfielder, it could prove challenging for the Hammers to retain him.
