Victor Osimhen vs Arkadiusz Milik, which one should Tottenham sign?

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham has been linked with a move for two of the most exciting strikers in Europe this season, Victor Osimhen and Arkadiusz Milik.

The club’s search for a reliable backup to Harry Kane is the reason why we have been linked with a move for both Osimhen (Standard) and Milik (Teamtalk).

Ahead of the next transfer window, we can only sign one of them because neither would come cheap and it makes no sense to have two strikers as a backup to Kane.

Victor Osimhen is 21 years old, and he scored 18 goals in 38 competitive games for Lille this season, including two goals in the Champions League.

Milik is 26, and he has scored 13 goals in 30 competitive games for Napoli so far this campaign.

The Nigerian has had just two successful seasons in Europe, having only joined Lille from Sporting Charleroi last summer.

Milik is more experienced and has also been around top European sides for some time now.

Our ideal backup striker would be a player that can come off the bench and help us to win a game or a player that can replace Kane in the starting XI and still deliver the goals.

Milik is one player that is used to the backup striker role because he hasn’t really nailed down a starting spot since he joined Napoli.

Osimhen has been Lille’s main attacker, and the Nigerian is also a younger striker, which means that he can replace Kane should we sell the Englishman in the future.

I’d rather take Osimhen because he would offer us more in the long-term. Who would you choose?
