Very Plausible XI To Wallop Royal Antwerp Tonight | image

By The Boy -

The biggest pressure this evening I believe will be upon the shoulders of our splendid new boy, Carlos Vinicius. José Mourinho is an unforgiving master and the box the Brazilian arrived in was clearly marked ‘striker’; the gaffer will want goals.

Scrolling through Spurs Community for gits and shizzles this morning and I see that Harry Winks as a sole midfielder is a popular choice. As was, I am given to understand, the Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp as a starter on the Titanic.

Winks without Hojbjerg or Tanguy nearby terrifies me, and ought to terrify anyone that understands football.

I’d swap out Winks for a welcome mat and Sanchez for a swing door but other than that hopefully they get the job done.

I really feel Skipp would have been great for nights like these…Winks and Skippy as his minder.

Dunno. Really hope that front three is given the nod, like it, all have a lot to prove to show they’re ready for Prem starts.

Presumably ask any Swansea supporters what they thought about Ben Davies and you get rave reviews. Quite the opposite amongst us Spurs fans.
It’s a funny old game!
Near ands tidy Winks simply needs to be more expansive with his passing!!!

Interesting selection, but I doubt Mourinho will start Sissoko on a three day turnaround. Totally agreed about Winks. I like the Hawaiian garlic shrimp/Titanic analogy! My choice to wallop the twerps! … Hart; Reg, Toby, Sanchez (og), Aurier … (40) Winks (he sends me to sleep too!), Lo Celso, Dele … Bergy, Sid ‘My Way’ Vinicious, GB.

Consider me slightly terrified by the prospects of Winks as sole midfielder. This Twerp FC aren’t complete mugs judging by their recent results and they’ll be up for it big time – remember our first qualifier? Davies and Reg? Interesting. I certainly don’t think Ben is much good as an attacking WB.

Lamela deserves to start and I would expect to see LoCelso as well.I would only play one of Davies or Reguilon keeping the other fresh for starting against Brighton.

Royal Antwerp are on a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions. Six of those fixtures ended in wins for the team. They will aim to make it very difficult for Tottenham Hotspur to leave Belgium with a victory. On matchday 1 in the Europa League, Antwerp came from behind against Ludogorets Razgrad. The Belgians conceded a goal just after halftime. Antwerp’s Pieter Gerkens and Lior Refaelov found the back of the net just after the hour-mark to reverse the game into the Belgians’ favour.

Dangerman is Lior Refaelov

Harvey white for winks. Can play deep and link things up. Good clean tackler. Forward thinker. Busy little baller. Wicked left foot. Jose, drop him in. Oh and Clark for sissy.
