To go from nearly having Paulo Dybala as your new striker to possibly having some unknown Kosovan is quite the downgrade over 10 months.
But while Fenerbahce’s Vedat Muriqi is not the most exciting name to be linked to Tottenham in the Covid-19 rumour window, Football London journo Graham Ruthven thinks he could be a perfect fit for Jose Mourinho.

Ruthvern compares the 26-year-old, who has 13 goals in Turkey’s top flight this season, to Diego Costa, who fired Jose’s Chelsea to the title in 2014-15 with 20 goals in 26 matches in his first Premier League campaign.
Costa’s importance to that Chelsea side is so undervalued. Few foreign imports of recent years, outside of Mohamed Salah and N’Golo Kante, have had as immediate an impact at the top end of the table as he had.
If we can sign anybody to have even half of that effect for next season it would be worthwhile, especially as our expectations for a new striker are probably for them merely to provide decent cover for Harry Kane.
