Tottenham will have to pay more than £45 million to land Premier League ace

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham wants to sign Adama Traore before this transfer window closes as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to be reunited with the Spaniard.

He managed him at Wolves last season and believes the Barcelona academy product can also be useful to his Tottenham side.

The Lilywhites could conclude the transfer before this window shuts and if they sell Harry Kane, they will have more than enough money to tempt Wolves into selling.

The Midlands club has sold some of their top talents in recent seasons, but they don’t always allow them to leave on a cheap with most of them earning big money moves away from the club.

They sold Diogo Jota to Liverpool last summer in a deal worth around £45 million, according to Sky Sports.

The attacker has gone on to disrupt Liverpool’s front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, keeping Firmino on the bench for their league matches this season so far.

As Spurs become interested in a move for Traore, Dharmesh Sheth says via the Transfer Show on Sky Sports as posted by Football Daily on Twitter that Wolves will start from the amount Liverpool paid for Jota and Spurs should expect to pay more.

An upgrade on Berghy but thats it… if his passing in the final 3rd was better he’d be twice as much & playing for Citeh…😂

Cant shoot but pass the ball to Kane for a tap-in. Maybe move Kane back to a No 10, which is probably now what he does best.

Seriously, it’s really gone downhill on here. The second time I’ve had a comment removed when there were no swear words or anything offensive. You’ll lose visitors, H, if it’s not resolved.

Agree with Snitz below. We have enough of the direct, head down, winger types with erratic end products like Traore is. His finishing is questionable as well. We need a player with guile, awareness in one of those positions, that’s why we lose possession often with the likes of Moura and Bergwijn in the team.

As everyone could see Traore is so difficult to play against, and when he gets it right is unplayable, but no doubt his decision making, final ball and shooting are so inconsistent that the fee quoted is too much.
Iv’e banged on about Saint Maximin (and Ings) for ages, but I would break the bank for him personally.

Levy won’t sell Kane this summer, no replacement on the horizon in a season where Levy will want the team back in the Champion’s League next year.

The financial implications of the prospect of another year out of the C.L makes him worth as more to Spurs than to Citeh. Which is why a deal can’t be done at the moment, for me anyway, can’t see it. He’s 28…

I think he’s a lot better than Bergwjin but not £45m worth of ‘better’. If Stevie B went the other way and we paid a small fee, otherwise I can’t see the game time for both of them…
