Spurs’ Transfer Target Is Frustrated By His Club’s Firm Stance, Deal Suddenly Looks Distant

By The Boy -

Sky Sports‘ Lyall Thomas looks to have the inside track on Tottenham’s potential South Korean target Min-Jae Kim, which is neither good news nor bad news, but no news at all, truth be told. The 6’3″ (1.91 m) footballer who has been bewilderingly dubbed a giant by some outlets is still very much in China, according to Lyall.

Despite numerous inaccurate reports and crackpot theories, it seems that the boy’s club, Beijing Sinobo Guoan, have requested that the player remain in China, and by the tone of the piece, this deal is no foregone conclusion. Not at all.

This deal on an emotional level looks like great business, but on business level, one has to ask one’s self if anything quite as complicated could’ve cooked up by the transfer rumour gods.

The good news is that this transfer window will run longer than Daniel Levy’s fast-pour bar, so there’s a tonne of opportunity to bring Min-Jae Kim to Haringey, shall we say.

Oops, yes and Tanganga.
Hopefully Levy will offer him a proper contract and Jose will play the boy. Otherwise he’ll be off too. He wont be short of eager suitors.

i suspect that Hojberg will be coming as DM with KWP going other way. Strong rumours with Aarons coming to us and will be cheap at RB, then that just leaves striker. Options on the cheap are jay rod from burnley? perhaps make a beeline for Ings although he will not be cheap. i still feel we need a creative mid for breaking down teams who sit back against us. perhaps Beundia who has been one of the top big chance creators this season.

Well we know that Levy’s tactics in the this will firstly be about money and secondly about improving the team. Did I read somewhere that Leeds and Bielsa were interested in Foyth? I’m sure Jan would be easy enough to move on.

It’s a tough one given Levy’s history because we could end up short in the position if Jan and Foyth are sold without a ready made replacement. That said we need to sell to raise transfer funds, and Jose might actually want to keep Foyth – though I doubt it.

P.S. That’s not me downvoting you.

If that’s the case I can understand it better, but perhaps get them out first?

I suspect Jose wants to move Foyth on with Jan. That only leaves Toby, Sanchez and Dier. Agree RB and DM are huge issues though.

Not half as necessary as a RB. DM and striker. We’ve still got Jan plus Dier and Foyth, are we collecting CB’s like wingers?

I think this was supposed to be cheap business as a replacement for Jan who’s likely leaving. Not top priority, but definitely nescessary.

We don’t need another CB, we need a RB, DM and back up striker. This would be a pretty pointless addition at the mo. Doubt it’s happening.
