Tottenham targeting Serie A striker as an alternative to Vlahovic

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham is interested in 29-year-old Crotone striker, Simy after his impressive performance in Serie A last season.

Tottenham needs a new striker that will partner Harry Kane in their attack in the 2021/2022 season and they have turned to Serie A to sign one.

The Telegraph maintains that they are targeting a move for Fiorentina striker, Dusan Vlahovic as a priority.

The 21-year-old was the fourth top scorer in Italy last season after he netted 21 goals in Serie A.

He has two more seasons left on his deal at his current club and he might not sign an extension.

However, he would still cost Tottenham around £50m.

That fee is high considering that clubs are suffering financially at the moment and Spurs could move for an alternative.

The report says they are also looking to move for Simy who scored 20 goals in 38 Serie A games last season.

The Nigerian is older at 29, but he might be an inexpensive option to add goals to Tottenham.

They also remain interested in a transfer for Danny Ings, who has entered the last year of his current deal.

Simy is valued at €8.00m by Transfermarkt even though the report didn’t say how much relegated Crotone will want for his signature.

This “billionaire owner” stuff has got to stop – we are just one of many investment pieces for him, we are not a frivolous play-thing for him to work his way through his fortune with, like the billionaire owners of some other clubs do.

And that investment is doing very nicely.

No. He wont. We dont pay that for top class defenders, let alone 4th highest scorers in Serie A.

When I came London, I shopped at Harrods 😆 the ice cream shop, splashed the cash on a sundae which is pretty good.

Areola? Been at PSG for 11 years & near permanently out on loan for last 8 years? Something tells me he’s not quite cutting ‘le moutarde’ at PSG?

No thanks. One good season and a 29 year-old is worth £50M.

If I here another fan comment they are just about to do the skywalk at Levyland I’ll be sick. That’s what is wrong with our club… fans like that.

We used to be a football club.. now it’s a permanent Circus Tent pitched up on the high road.

Sick to death of the penny pinching… buy nice or buy twice. I wish someone would literally kick ten shades of shit out of Levy
