Tottenham is interested in signing Watford’s Ismaila Sarr as they continue to bolster their squad.
The Lilywhites are determined to break inside the English top four at the end of this season.
They have added Cristian Romero to their squad in this transfer window and remained linked to several others.
Their defence was a major Achilles heel for them lasts season and that is an area they have been looking to overhaul this summer.
However, they also need to refresh their forward line by adding one or more new players and Sarr has entered their radar, according to Eurosport.
The 23-year-old Senegalese joined Watford in 2019 and he nearly left them after their relegation last season.
However, moves to Liverpool and Manchester United never materialised and he helped the Hornets gain promotion back to the Premier League.
They are looking to re-establish themselves in the competition and will want to keep their best players so they can avoid a relegation dogfight.
The report says because they are keen to keep hold of him, they will only sell if a club presents an offer of around £50m.
Sarr will add more speed and an extra dimension to the Tottenham attack, something the club may need in the event that Harry Kane is sold.
