Tottenham have been warned that it would cost them significant money to sign Mikkel Damsgaard this summer.
The Dane shone at Euro 2020 for the Denmark national team after he scored two fine goals for them in the competition, including a stunning free-kick against England in the semi-finals.
Several European clubs want to sign him ahead of the 2021/22 season and Tottenham is one of them.
The Lilywhites have been looking to add new players to their squad and Fabio Paratici will hope he can use his Italian connections to land the Sampdoria man.
However, it seems that won’t be enough to help Tottenham land him for a discounted price with the Serie A club intent on getting the most value from his sale.
La Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia reports that Tottenham watched him at Euro 2020 and are keen to sign him alongside Barcelona.
However, they will have to pay around 40m euros to sign him and to show their seriousness Sampdoria has just rejected an offer for his signature.
The report says Milan bid €20m plus Andrea Conti, but they rejected it with the Blucerchiati insisting on the full fee without any add-ons.
No one knows how much Tottenham has to spend this summer, but splashing the cash on him looks a long shot.

Hopefully the fools and their ‘world class facilities’ nonsense are finally seeing the true Levy and ENIC. Cancers.
That counts Spurs and Levy out then. Levy wouldn’t pay anywhere near what it would take to sign Damsgaard.
LOL Levy and ENIC OUT !!!
