La Nazione says that Tottenham and Manchester United are battling for the signature of towering Serbian defender, Nikola Milenkovic.
The Fiorentina man has been one of the best defenders in Italy this season and he has been attracting the attention of top European sides.
Tottenham wanted to sign Milan Skriniar in the last transfer window, but they couldn’t land him.
With their defence struggling in the last few days, the Daily Mail says that they will look for another defender next month and Milenkovic is the centre back that they want.
He has been an ever-present in La Viola’s team this season with him featuring in all their 14 games this season.
The Italians know that they can only hold him for so long before a top team comes in to sign him and they have valued him at £23 million.
Manchester United has suffered at the back this season and they will look to add him to their team next month too.
Spurs showed how terrible the United defence can be when they hammered them 6-1 earlier in the season, and the Red Devils want Milenkovic to help them change that.
It remains unclear if Spurs will be willing to spend that much on him next month.
