Tottenham scouts were ‘spotted’ watching impressive midfielder Fabio Paratici is sold on

By Mehdi Gokal -

Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi has been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks.

The Roma graduate is enjoying a great season in Serie A which has attracted interest from some top clubs including Roma and Spurs with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that Fabio Paratici is sold on the midfielder.

This report sparked speculation about a January transfer for the Italian, who has stated his desire to play for a bigger club in the future.

And now Sassuolo News have reported that Tottenham had sent scouts to watch the midfielder against Inter. The report states that ‘Tottenham observers were spotted at Matei Stadium’, with Frattesi the main player of their interest.

The report further claims that Antonio Conte and Fabio are ‘ready to join the race’ for the 23-year-old.

Frattesi is a Roma academy graduate who joined Sassuolo in a £4.5 million deal in the summer of 2017. He spent several loan seasons away from Sassuolo before being given the chance to shine for his parent club last season, and he is now a member of their senior squad after an impressive season.

Yeah, that, or sign Milinkovic-Savic. 3+7 from CM in 9 appearances this season.

Then again, what is Savic against another lateral signing?

Or Klopp or South Gate can move Trent to midfield where he first started and where he belongs but not my problem.

TAA is great in the Pool setup, the system suits him. However Liverpool are not firing on all cylinders at the moment and as a consequence all their players are below par.

However Southgate was right when he said other players are more complete RFBs,because TAA’s defensive qualities are clearly lacking.Unless Southgate mirrors the Liverpool system then TAA may not make the cut for Qatar. It doesn’t make him a bad player it’s just that others would be a better fit.

Incidentally the other night on Sky Gary Neville was saying if TAA missed the WC he could use the time to practice with a defensive coach. He made good points about his style and positioning when defending which put him at a disadvatage against attacking players. He would do well to take that on board.

I know there is a current surplus of highly skilled right backs , but to me Trent is a Rolls Royce player and I cannot believe he is being vilified at this time .
The World Cup is playing with their minds I’m sure , this season is so surreal , and a player such as he should be lauded . One or two brilliant deliveries from that right foot could win ANY match , you’d kill for him at Spurs ??
Ithink current form for players – and even teams – should be forgiven , until WC is out of the way .

I know Henderson is getting older, but he still remains very influencial in the team, both in his performances and leadership.I have to admit he was a very shrewd signing to replace Gerrard. You’re right though it is imperative that aging players are replaced in time.

Talking of Gerrard I can’t believe he has survived the sack race.I don’t think he is a particularly good manager, living off his playing reputation. It is suggested he got the plaudits for his work with Rangers, but it was actually Gary McAllister who did the work with the team. How true that is I don’t know, but it never seems to be his fault.

We have been in the 2 or 3 players short while being comparatively competitive for as long as I can remember Judge. I’d say we are 4 players short with some to be sold ..not the usual suspects NDem etc but others.
I was surprised LFC didn’t spend more in the last window but imagine they know Henderson, VVD possibly a full back to play in front of TTA will need replacing come summer.

VVD they know

Absolutely Eddie
There are times when we go overboard on our condemnation of our team , largely because of that love we have for them and wanting to be proud .
Most of us know what we need , obtaining that can be frustratingly difficult .
Take Liverpool right now -today ! How many players who would have joined them in a heartbeat 3 months ago , are still 100% committed to their cause ? All is not well there ?
We are so close to having a great side , but we undoubtedly need to win something to attract the true greats ………….roll on World Cup with all its hidden treasures .

Most of us on here have been highly critical of our performances and rightly so,but at least our opponents have made the matches watchable.I’m just about to turn off the Forest v. Villa game after watching for 15 minutes. If there are two worse teams in the PL at the moment I have yet to see them. They are both truly awful.
