Tottenham receives first bid for star player who ‘wants to join’ the La Liga side.

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to Spanish outlet Marca, Villareal has made the first offer for Spurs star Giovani Lo Celso.

Lo Celso who spent the second half of last season on loan at Villareal looks all set to leave Spurs this summer with him being surplus to Antonio Conte’s side.

There has been plenty of interest for the Argentine this summer with the likes of Napoli, Fiorentina and AS Roma all interested in him. However, Marca reports that the player ‘wants to play for Villareal’ and Unai Emery is similarly keen on signing him too.

According to the report by Marca, Villareal have made a loan bid for Giovani Lo Celso with an obligation to buy for £12.6 million. The offer is short of Spurs valuation who are looking for £20m as reported by The Times.

While Spurs will be hoping that this starts a bidding war amongst the interested parties, they should be mentally prepared for a compromise as it seems unlikely that their asking price will be met and Spurs look desperate to offload him.

Send him to Italy to work his bulwarks off.
Villa is a small club with no infrastructure they wont have much cash but they could always do a deal for a player if they want him so much.

More nonsense… Silva’s on 150k a week .. Some of our players earn more than that… When I actually bother to speed read your posts (occasionally ) it’s astonishing how often you’re wrong.

No he starts for City. He’s first choice!
Why do you think they got rid of Sterling?

Spence won’t be starting for us unless we’re in trouble with injuries.

Grealish cost 100 million and Spence cost 20 million there is no comparison.
Are you getting confused with all those numbers again?

All the above figures are from transfermarkt.

The figures add up but I get why you’re confused… His market value has steadily decreased over the years, he’s only worth 19.8 million now.. They are lowballing at 12 mil.. Asking for 20 mil is what he’s worth.

We signed him on loan at first for 14.4 mil.. Then we had the option of buying him for 28.8 mil which we did.
So in total he cost 43 million.
But he’s been a flop so he’s worth under half that now.
What a Botch job!

Grealish world-class? A very skilled player for an Englishman but he’s only at Citeh because he makes up the homegrown quota, like us getting Spence. Only difference is that Citeh aren’t messing about waiting 5 seasons to turn profits on punts…

Hang on, the club supposedly made his transfer permanent when Jose was manager at a cost of about 40+m. 12m? These figures just don’t add up…

Silva wants to go ..Citeh don’t want him to leave so they say ..either way his wage demands will be very high ..and he can go where he wants…can’t see him at Spurs though he gets us a shot at a CL Semi.

Ndombele and Richarlison aren’t in the same class..
Grealish and Silva are both world class. My point is at this moment in time we don’t attract this calibre of player because we rarely win anything. Why would you think that the likes of Silva would want to come to us?
City don’t want to let him go but would listen to offers if he demanded it, Barca want him.
Even if he wanted to come to us do you really think City would let him go for his market value 70 million? Especially after the recent Citizen Kane saga?
We won’t be signing Silva mate.

2 YEARS AGO WE GAVE 65M FOR Ndombele , this year I believe £60m for Richarlison .
This fella , if £70m is the price , would be superb business – I think he’s 27 , dont know why City would let him go ??
Who would you have – Grealish £100m or Silva [ Bernardo or David ] a@ £70-75million …………aint a contest !!!!!!!!

They’re buying top players again so they must be steadying the ship.. They just bought Kounde too. Plus Rob and Rafa..
There is no FFP.. City and PSG have proved this.

Bernardo Silva would be ideal, but alas we would never go to 70M.He is exactly what we need and after thinking Richarlison would come good, his preseason efforts have me doubting him.Creativity in the middle of the pitch is an extreme priority.

They are still in massive financial difficulties and apparently needed to sell 6-8 players to be able to buy Lewandovski and Raphinha and probably others still. That was also assuming the sale of de Jong who is allegedly still owed 17M in wages.

Nagelsmann was right to question how they can plead poverty on one hand and then get the players they want.Like a number of clubs they are ridiculing the FFP regulations, but to coin a banking phrase they’re too big to fail.

Barca want him.. He may be available to them for 70 million plus.. Not us.. We are a year or two away from making this type of signing, to attract top players and beat the top clubs to the worldy signings we have to start winning silverware first.
I think signing Romero before Barca could was nothing short of a miracle. They were in financial trouble and sold Messi and all this definitely played a part.
