Tottenham Hotspur continues to be linked with a move for the English winger Samuel Iling-Junior.
The 20-year-old has struggled for regular game time at Juventus and the Italian outfit are hoping to move him on when the transfer window reopens in January. The Italian club are looking to bring in their own signings and they believe that the departure of Iling-Junior could fund January moves for them.
A report from Calciomercato claims that the player was initially valued at €20 million, but Juventus are now ready to provide a discount and let him leave for €18 million. The report claims that Tottenham are keen on the player and they are now ‘ready to bet’ on the 20-year-old English winger.
Iling-Junior is highly rated around Europe and he has a bright future ahead of him. He could develop into a key player for Tottenham with the right coaching and experience. The 20-year-old needs regular gametime and it remains to be seen whether the North London out are prepared to provide him with assurances.
Tottenham need to bring in attacking depth, especially after injuries to Richarlison, Manor, Solomon, and Ivan Perisic. Iling-Junior could get ample gametime during the second half of the campaign at the Premier League club and regular football in England could accelerate his development.
He could be a long-term asset for Tottenham and the player certainly has the pedigree to justify the €18 million asking price. The transfer could even look like a bargain if he manages to fulfil his tremendous potential.
