Tottenham prioritises signing 26-year-old Portuguese star

By Bruce Grove -

João Palhinha has become a transfer priority for Tottenham as they look to keep bolstering their squad before this transfer window closes.

The Portugal international plays for Sporting Lisbon and he was instrumental as they ended their long wait for a league title by winning it last season.

Nuno Espirito Santo, who has been watching him before becoming the Tottenham boss, is said to like him.

A Bola claims that the former Wolves manager has told Spurs to add him to his squad before this transfer window closes.

The Lilywhites have now made signing him a priority and they will look to close out the transfer as soon as possible.

Spurs have an abundance of talent in midfield but they underperformed last season and a number of midfielders could yet be sold off.

The likes of Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele are all facing uncertainty over their north London futures and it could see them have limited playing time in this campaign.

Palhinha has a contract that expires in 2025 and has a huge release clause written into the deal.

However, transfermarkt values him at €21.00m and that is likely the fee that Spurs will end up paying.

Just click bait noice, all about advertising. Unless the user gets something of substance back, then the only kind of people posting will be as dull as dishwater. Or bully’s with nobody to slap them down when they get above their station. I reckon he got bored with running it, probably fairly time consuming too, moderating the plonkers and writing articles. 🤔

The level of criticism of ENIC on here may have been picked up by their PR dept. perfectly feasible that they bought the blog to both shut him up and silence the anti-ENIC noise. They may have even threatened legally, I guess we’ll never know now.

The only free and moderated forum to question ENIC is now dead. I guess it’s social media thing now. There must be endless hashtags related to criticism of the owners. It’s just that I hate social media with all my being!! 😂

Yeah me too. I’m sure we’ll be subjected to endless blog headlines that are free of criticism of ENIC/Levy, even favorable. It will no
longer be a place for free speech, of that I’m certain.

Exactly. Fernandes and Vinicius were also loans with 50m buy outs

Isn’t the story that abramovic actually wanted to buy Tottenham in 03 or whenever but Levy and ENIC said f*** off

Romero and gollini were both loans. Only money we spent is 21 mil on Gil plus Lamela. Factor in 13 for Foyth, 1 for Hart, 1 for Cirken, and a reported 5-13 for alderwerield, that’s 19-28 incoming. We may have made a profit so far (shock)

Ain’t we brought in a keeper (brilliant feet) a spanish winger (tricky tricky tricky) and a argi top top warrior defender? With a Japanese wicked defender in transit? Not a bad haul if you ask me.

Quick question (I don’t know the answer) if Tammy said to Roman he’d really like to play for tottenham and if the moneys right can I go there please? Would roman really say no? Why does he hate us again? Coz of modric? Can remember we got a keeper from them on a free once cuddiccini or what ever his name is. Can’t think who the last tottenham player was to go to the Russian launderette

Yeah it’s bad. A daily round up of the rumours would be ok – titled as such so I can avoid it. Currently it’s so bad that *if* there is an actual piece, we will loose it among the flood of nonsense

I use this blog/ forum because I found a kindred spirit in my dislike of our owners. Informed opinion as to what these charlatans are up to kept me coming back.

it’d be mightily disappointing if Harry doesn’t do one last blog and perhaps tell those of us who contributed to the success of the blog where he is now and perhaps why he stepped away.

As for Bruce Grove and Eddie Razzo. Thanks but no thanks. If all I want is sensationalist headline grabs I’ll go back to news now.

There’s no opinion or debate on headline blogs.

Here is a link to his YouTube Site…https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCObGvDVuclUn12bjpaylunw.
His new operating guise with You Tube is called “The Foorballing Genius”…..
It looks like this is where most of his time is now occupied….
Not sure if going forward he will be making guest appearances on his “OLD BLOG”>
😄😁

Another priority. How many is that now? Is anyone keeping count? I’ve never had quite so much admiration for football journalists, so many of them have managed to develop a direct connection to our club’s transfer negotiations; well done them. I’m finding it absolutely fascinating.

Well, if he’s gone then so will I. At least we got some informed opinion. This blog is rapidly turning into crap as we speak. What’s the new moniker for his YouTube Channel please?

You can’t fake it though. Whoever bought it might just need to find a new blog writer. I fear though this will go the route of all the other click-bait blogs littering NewsNow…

Looks like it. Harry Hotspur only exists in the name of this blog now.

Can’t say I’m particularly interested in discussing click-bait articles either. There needs to be a level of wit, humor and opinion in the articles otherwise there’s nothing to draw people here.

These BG articles are just click-bait as you say, it’s almost like it’s a chore for whoever writes them. It’s pretty obvious they have zero interest in the subject matter…

Why are we prioritising a midfielder when desperately we need another centre back, striker and a right back first. I do hope the excuses of we ran out of time don’t come as we’ve had months to strike these deals. We’ve been signing Tomiyasu for the last two months, how long does it take Levy to pull the trigger?

No rush Daniel. After all you never buy the first pair of shoes you see when you go shopping. It pays to have a really good look around and then make a rushed decisions when the shops are about to close.

As a side note… is the this the same Bruce Grove who was suggesting we are buying Tammy Abrahams? The Chelsea shop is permanently shut to us.

The only real splurge of note – not including selling players like Bale first – came when we were in danger of relegation. Sums up ENIC sand their real level of ambition. Stay in the cash cow league and fleece the fans.

Unless Kane is sold or we shift three or four for decent money I think we have done most of our spending.

That football finance guy Kevin Maguire has said that the net spend per season under Levy has been £15 million.

I think that figure explains a lot.

We will be linked every player in the world as usual every window we will end up getting Corentin Tolisso of Bayern who is €10 mill very Levy price next thing you know the window is shut come next season.

I think Bruce has been dug out a bit when he’s put opinion in rather than it facilitating debate, though it also depends what his boss wants. But I don’t mind Bruce putting opinion in to articles if it’s interactive….
