Tottenham outcast sparking a transfer battle between Middle East clubs

By Bruce Grove -

Moussa Sissoko is the subject of a transfer tug of war between Middle Eastern clubs as he remains out of the first-team plans of Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 32-year-old has two more years left on his current deal and made a few starts for the club last season.

However, he is set to be sidelined by Nuno Santo, who doesn’t think the France international is the right fit for his squad.

The Tottenham boss is set to prioritise fielding other players and Sissoko has been told that he can leave.

The former Newcastle United man, who joined Spurs after a fine campaign with France at Euro 2016, has interest from clubs in Qatar and the UAE, according to Get French Football News.

However, the report also claims that the midfielder has no intention of leaving Tottenham for the Middle East.

It claims that his plan is to remain at the Lilywhites and fight for a place on the team in the upcoming season.

The Sun says he makes £80,000-a-week in London and the Lilywhites are desperate to get that wage off their books.

It reports that Fenerbahce has also considered a move for him before now, but they have cooled off their interest.
