Ange Postecoglou’s future as Tottenham Hotspur manager is under serious threat after a disastrous campaign that has seen the club crash out of both domestic cup competitions and plummet down the Premier League table.

Last week was particularly brutal for Spurs, with Liverpool handing them a humbling 4-0 defeat in the League Cup before Aston Villa knocked them out of the FA Cup.

Those exits have only intensified scrutiny on Postecoglou, whose side sits a shocking 14th in the league, just 10 points above the relegation zone—far from the expectations set at the start of the season.

With fans growing restless and pundits openly questioning his ability to turn things around, speculation over Postecoglou’s future is mounting.

According to Inter Live, Spurs have already held internal discussions about Fulham boss Marco Silva as a potential successor.

Silva has earned widespread praise for his work at Craven Cottage, guiding Fulham to an impressive ninth place in the Premier League—just five points behind fifth-placed Manchester City.

The Portuguese coach’s track record is equally impressive, having led Estoril to promotion and European qualification, winning the Taça de Portugal with Sporting CP, and securing a league title with Olympiacos.

His Premier League experience with Hull City, Watford, Everton, and now Fulham makes him a highly sought-after name in the managerial market.

Despite the mounting criticism, Postecoglou has had to navigate an injury crisis that has left him without 11 first-team players. This has severely hindered Tottenham’s ability to compete, with the Australian forced to field makeshift lineups week after week.

While his tactics and decision-making have been questioned, many believe the club’s struggles extend beyond the manager. A lack of squad depth, inconsistent performances from key players, and a failure to strengthen in key areas have all contributed to Tottenham’s dismal season.

With the pressure mounting, Postecoglou faces a crucial period in the coming weeks. If results don’t improve, Spurs may have no choice but to look for a new leader to steady the ship.
