It appears that the Arkadiusz Milik to Tottenham transfer speculation has some legs on it with news coming out of Italy that Spurs have been in contact over the possibility of signing the Napoli striker.
SportWitness are citing the offline version of TuttoSport as the source for this latest update, however, they do not actually say who Tottenham have been in contact with, the player himself, his representatives or Napoli.
They do say, however, that Milik has set his sights on signing for Juventus over his other suitors including Tottenham.
However, that does not mean that the 26-year-old will end up at the Italian champions, there are other factors that come into play including how much Napoli will accept as a transfer fee for a player that will be a free agent at the end of next season.
Napoli knows they are not in a position to demand too much because of the declining length of Milik’s contract but you can take it to the bank that if Spurs offer more than Juventus then it will be the Tottenham bid that will be accepted.
It is heartening to know that Tottenham has made contact, it means they are serious about signing a new striker and one that is not in his 30’s.
Juventus may be favourites for his signature right now but do not count Tottenham out just yet. This transfer could yet happen in our favour.
