Tottenham have made “advanced” survey for Brazilian defender amid interest from rivals

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Brazilian defender Cuiabano from Botafogo at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old left-back has done quite well for the Brazilian club, and his performances have attracted the attention of Manchester United and Bournemouth as well.

According to a report from Trivela, Tottenham have carried out an “advanced” survey for the player ahead of a potential move. It remains to be seen whether they follow it up with an official offer to sign the player.

Tottenham to sign another left-back?

They have Destiny Udogie as the first-choice left-back at the club, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to bring in the Brazilian as well. He could compete with the Italian International for the starting spot. More competition for places will help Tottenham improve as a team. 

The Italian defender has done quite well since he has moved to the Premier League, but he can be quite inconsistent. It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Manchester City are keeping tabs on Udogie.

Manchester United and Bournemouth are interested in the player as well, and Tottenham will need to act quickly in order to get the deal done. They have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and that certainly gives them an edge over their rivals. 

The 22-year-old defender could be attracted to the idea of playing for them next season. It would be a huge step up in his career, and he will look to prove himself in the Premier League and Champions League. 

Cuiabano is still quite young, and he could improve with coaching and experience. Regular football in England will help him improve further and fulfil his potential. It will be an exciting opportunity for him, and he will look to prove his worth in England.
