Tottenham is continuing their efforts to get their team in shape ahead of the new season.
They have signed some impressive players in the transfer window and more players are expected to arrive.
The incoming players aren’t the only ones who will have new deals at the club when the new season begins as Football Insider claims that the Lilywhites are set to open talks with one of their longest-serving players.
The report claims that Spurs are looking to offer Hugo Lloris a new lucrative deal.
The Frenchman captained his national team to win the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and he remains one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.
He struggled for form last season and missed a large part of the campaign because of injury.
However, on his return, he was reinstated as the club’s first choice and Jose Mourinho has been impressed enough to keep things that way.
Spurs have signed Joe Hart to provide cover for the Frenchman, but Lloris will remain the club’s undisputed first choice.
The report adds that although Lloris is one of the club’s highest earners, they are prepared to extend his current contract and give him a pay rise.
Mourinho will be hoping that a new deal will inspire the Frenchman to be at his brilliant best in the new season.

Unfortunately although he hasn’t said as much,Ithink Jose sees Hart as backup.Don’t be surprised to see Gazza go out on loan or even sold.
I thought Gazza was his cover not Hart.
