Tottenham have been named as one of several British teams who have made Stoke City’s Mohamed Sankoh a summer target as the teenager nears the end of his current deal.
The 16-year-old is one of the brightest prospects at Stoke at the moment and the Potters want him to sign a new deal.
However, he doesn’t want to remain in the English second-tier side and he is eyeing a move to the Premier League which has alerted several other top Premier League sides, reports FootballInsider247.
The report further claims Spurs are in a race with the likes of Celtic and Everton for his signature and the player is considering other proposals ahead of making a decision on his next club.
Sankoh is a regular for Holland’s under-18 team and he has scored nine goals and provided the same number of assists for his national team.
Stoke have hopes that he will become a future star with them, but their current struggles down the Championship table has placed them in a disadvantaged position.
Spurs have brought through some of England’s finest players and they will no doubt hope that they can convince Sankoh that his career lies with them in North London.
