Tottenham have already ‘made moves’ to open talks with manager described as “one of the best” by Pep Guardiola

According to a report by The Telegraph, Luis Enrique is no longer considered a favorite for the managerial job at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea held talks with the former Barcelona man a couple of weeks ago, but the report suggests that there are no further plans for discussions with him, as he has been ruled out as a frontrunner for the job.

Meanwhile former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann remains in the mix as a likely candidate, with
“further talks” planned for this week. Mauricio Pochettino, the former Tottenham manager, is also a “main contender” for the vacant position at Stamford Bridge.

However, the report further claims that Tottenham now has a clear run at Luis Enrique and have already “made moves” to “open talks” with him. Enrique has expressed a desire to manage in the Premier League and could potentially be the man for the job at one of the London clubs.

Enrique has a successful track record as a manager, having won nine trophies with La Liga giants Barcelona, including the Champions League. He has been described as “one of the best managers” by Pep Guardiola.

Previously, Spanish outlet Sport had claimed that Tottenham and Chelsea stood out as the “most likely destinations” for Enrique.

It remains to be seen who will be appointed as Tottenham’s next manager, but the club is said to be determined to find a suitable candidate who can lead them to success in the Premier League and in Europe. With Enrique’s impressive credentials, he could be a strong contender for the role.
