Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has been outstanding for the German club this season, and he is regarded as a world-class talent. According to Fichajes, Tottenham are now favourites to get the deal done.

He will cost around €80 million this summer, and it remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy is willing to pay up. Tottenham need more quality and depth in the final third, and the 22-year-old is capable of operating anywhere across the front three.

Tottenham need Xavi Simons

Simons will add goals and creativity to the side. The Dutch International is young enough to improve further, and he could develop into a top-class Premier League attacker. The 22-year-old has 11 goals and eight assists to his name this season.

Spurs have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they will be an attractive destination for most players. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in one of the most talented young attackers from the Bundesliga this summer. Tottenham are long-term admirers of the player.

They need to improve their squad in order to bounce back strongly. They will be hoping to fight for major trophies next season. Simons would be an excellent long-term investment for them, and he could develop into a top-class player with the right guidance.

Simons will be an expensive addition

The player has been linked with other English clubs as well, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops. Although the €80 million valuation might seem quite expensive, the player has the potential to justify the outlay in the long term. He is regarded as an elite talent.

Tottenham should look to get rid of some of the fringe players and bring in the Netherlands international in the coming weeks. Timo Werner will leave the club upon the expiry of his loan deal, and Richarlison has been linked with an exit as well. The Brazilian has been quite underwhelming, and Simons would be an upgrade.
