Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the PSV Eindhoven midfielder Xavi Simons.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have ‘asked’ to be kept informed of the midfielder’s situation in the coming weeks.
The 20-year-old midfielder could be on his way out of the Dutch club this summer and Spurs will be hoping to sign him.
They have been linked with a number of attacking midfielders in recent seasons and it is no secret that they need to add creativity and goals to the side. The Tottenham midfield is in desperate need of a creative spark and Simons could be the ideal long-term acquisition for them.
The 20-year-old will add creativity and goals to the side. He is versatile enough to operate as a central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. The midfielder has had a phenomenal campaign with PSV and he ended up scoring 22 goals and picking up 12 assists across all competitions.
Simons is highly rated in European football and he has tremendous potential. He could develop into a top-class Premier League midfielder with the right coaching and experience.
Tottenham are not the only club looking to sign the player and they will face competition from premier league rivals Arsenal, Brighton and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing their former player as well and they have a buyback clause in his contract, which will be activated next month. If Tottenham want to sign the midfielder, they should look to make the move immediately and sign him before the buyback clause is activated in July.
