Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Netherlands international Xavi Simons at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has been outstanding for RB Leipzig this season, and he has 11 goals to his name. He has eight assists across competitions as well. He could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham. He has been labelled as ‘exceptional’ in the past.
According to Fichajes, the club hierarchy is ‘dreaming’ of signing the Netherlands international, and they believe that they can convince the player to join and his club to sell him.
They have been linked with the player for months. Tottenham were mentioned as a potential destination when he played for PSG as well.
Xavi Simons is an elite talent
Simons is capable of operating in multiple attacking roles, and he could be the ideal utility man for Tottenham. They need more goals and creativity in the final third, and the 22-year-old is versatile enough to operate in the wide areas as well as centrally. He will add goals and creativity to the side. The young attacker is expected to improve further with coaching and experience. He would be a solid long-term investment for Tottenham.
However, he is valued at €80 million (£67 million). It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay that kind of money for him.
Tottenham want quality additions

They have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they are looking to bring in quality players now. They want to assemble a formidable squad, and Simons would be a superb acquisition.
The player has been linked with multiple clubs in recent months, and there is no doubt that he is an elite prospect. He could improve Spurs massively in the final third. He has the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, and he could end up justifying the £67 million asking price in future.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham come forward with an official offer to sign the player in the coming weeks.
