Tottenham fans send Daniel Levy a message during Aston Villa game following Nagelsmann set-back

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur fans have made it clear once again that they want club chairman Daniel Levy to leave the club, chanting against him during the game against Aston Villa on Saturday.

The frustration from the supporters towards Levy has been growing due to the recent instability at the club, and Friday’s report claiming that Julian Nagelsmann was no longer under consideration for the job after failed talks with the club has only added fuel to the fire.

According to Football London, the chants for Levy’s departure started just minutes into the game, sending a strong message to the chairman.

The pressure on Levy to make the right decision for the club has increased as a result.

Despite an encouraging win last week against Crystal Palace, Tottenham failed to build up on it and suffered a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, making their pursuit of European football next season more difficult.

Villa took the lead inside the first ten minutes of the game through Jacob Ramsey’s run inside the box. Douglas Luis doubled their lead in the 72nd minute with a stunning free-kick from 25 yards out. Harry Kane pulled one back for Spurs from the spot in the 90th minute, but it was not enough for a comeback as the game ended 2-1.

With just two games left in the season, the pressure is mounting on Spurs to secure European football for next season.

Tottenham Hotspur’s recent instability has left the club in a state of uncertainty, with the summer transfer window fast approaching. With no sporting director or manager in place, and rumours surrounding the departure of their star striker Harry Kane, the club is set to face a challenging task to attract key recruits.
