Tottenham facing competition from Serie A giants for international forward

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham’s reluctance to make a decision on which of their striker targets they will sign could see other teams beat them to their signatures.

The Lilywhites are keen on signing a new striker in this transfer window. This is because they want Harry Kane to share the goal-scoring burden at the club.

The Englishman is the undisputed number one striker at the club, but they struggle when he doesn’t play and unlike two seasons ago when they had Fernando Llorente on the bench, the last campaign they had no one to replace him.

Kosovan international Vedat Muriqi, has emerged as one of their top targets to join them as a backup to the World Cup Golden Boot winner, but they have been struggling to get the deal over the line, which has allowed other teams to target the Fenerbahce striker.

Gazzetta.it is now reporting that the striker is interesting new Champions League entrants, Lazio.

The Italians have secured a return to Europe’s premier club competition and they are looking to add some quality to their team and Muriqi is one player that is interesting to them.

Arkadiusz Milik is another striker that is being targeted by Spurs, but they are similarly not making much progress in terms of making a move for him, and they risk missing out on signing him as well.

Whether it is Milik, Muriqi or whoever, Daniel Levy does need to pull his finger out and get a backup striker signed asap.

Tottenham don’t face competition with anyone, the only thing Levy competes with is his balance (debt) sheet….
