Tottenham face ongoing competition from Everton in battle to land Serie A ace

By Bruce Grove -

Everton has been named as one team that is competing with Tottenham for the signature of Arkadiusz Milik.

The Polish striker was a transfer target for Spurs for much of this summer before they moved for Carlos Vinicius.

He has told Napoli that he will not be signing a new deal at the club and they have not named him in any of their official lists for their competitions this season.

This means that he will not play any club football this season until at least January when the transfer market reopens again.

Spurs have only signed Vinicius on an initial loan deal which means that they can sign another striker next summer.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that Spurs are still interested in landing Milik and the Lilywhites will want to take advantage of his free status and sign a pre-contract with him in January.

The same outlet also states that Everton manager, Carlo Ancelotti who managed Milik at Napoli, fancies a reunion with his former striker.

Everton has also flexed their muscles in the transfer market this summer, and they will be serious competition for Spurs.

The Toffees are top of the Premier League at the moment and if they maintain that momentum, Milik might be tempted to join them instead of Spurs.
