Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to sign the Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a move away from the London club and he has been in talks with Bayern Munich for weeks now.
The German club have already failed with an initial offer to sign him and it remains to be seen whether they decide to come back with an improved offer.
PSG are hoping to swoop in and secure his services this summer. As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the French outfit ‘would like to insert’ Xavi Simons as a part of the deal.
The 20-year-old midfielder had an exceptional campaign with PSV Eindhoven last season, scoring 22 goals across all competitions. The talented young midfielder picked up 12 assists as well.
Simons has the potential to develop into a top-class player and he could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham. The talented young midfielder can operate as a centre-attacking midfielder as well as a winger.
It remains to be seen whether Spurs are prepared to accept him as a part of the deal to sell Kane.
Ideally, Tottenham will want to hold onto the star striker but the player is in the final year of his contract, and they are under pressure to sell him. They will not want to lose a player of his calibre on a free transfer.
It remains to be seen whether they can agree on a cash deal with Bayern Munich in the coming weeks. If PSG can submit a lucrative cash offer along with Simons, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they decided to accept the offer from the French outfit.
Simons is a prodigious talent with a massive future ahead of him and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons.
