Tottenham can sign ‘jewel’ for just £17.3m, Euro giants are ‘open to the sale’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the Juventus winger Samuel Iling-Junior.

The 20-year-old has struggled for regular game time at the Italian club and he has been linked with an exit in the coming months. A report from Calciomercato claims that the player is struggling to play regularly under Max Allegri and the ‘jewel’ could be sold for the right price.

Apparently, Juventus are ‘open to the sale’ and Tottenham will have to shell out €20 million (£17.3m) for him.

The north London club have been keeping tabs on him for a while and they have recently scouted him in action for the England Under-21s. Iling-Junior is rated highly around Europe and he has a big future ahead of him. There is no doubt that he could develop into a quality attacker for Tottenham with the right coaching and guidance.

Spurs need to bring in more quality and depth in the wide areas, especially after injuries to Manor Solomon, and Ivan Perisic. Tottenham have started the season well but they will need to handle their current injury crisis properly in order to sustain their run of form and qualify for the Champions League once again.

Signing the right players in January could prove to be defining and Iling-Junior could be a useful acquisition for them during the second half of the campaign. The 20-year-old will be determined to prove his quality in English football and the opportunity to join a big club like Tottenham will be hard to turn down.
