Tottenham has been handed another blow in their bid to land Lautaro Martinez in this transfer window with his agent insisting that he isn’t leaving.
Fabio Paratici is looking to help Tottenham sign one of the best strikers in Serie A this summer as they prepare for an unwelcomed departure of Harry Kane.
Martinez helped Inter to win Serie A last season, but they have financial problems and have sold off a number of their key players.
Romelu Lukaku has joined Chelsea, while Achraf Hakimi has moved to PSG in this transfer window.
The remaining players who have also had to deal with the departure of their league-winning manager, Antonio Conte, have not received these departures well.
Tottenham could be forced to sell Kane to Manchester City and Martinez is one of the strikers they think can replace the England captain.
However, the Argentinian striker’s agent, Alejandro Camano, has continued to insist that he is staying and wants to achieve more success with the Italians.
‘He wants to win the Scudetto again with Inter, play a good Champions League with the Nerazzurri and, as I said before, he doesn’t think at all about leaving Italy,’ Alejandro Camano, Martinez’s agent told FCInterNews, via Goal.
‘We will do everything possible to stay with the Nerazzurri. Martinez is very happy in Milan, he has an excellent relationship with his team-mates and with the new coach. He listened to many offers, but never took any of them seriously. He believes – and we believe – that there is still life at Inter.’
