Spanish giants see huge bid for Tottenham target rejected

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham has been handed a transfer boost in their bid to add Dusan Vlahovic to their squad in this transfer window.

The 21-year-old Serbian is set to become one of the top players in Italy after netting 21 Serie A goals for Fiorentina last season.

The striker is one of the players being targeted by Spurs to replace Harry Kane or to become the strike partner of the England captain.

He has been on the radar of Spurs football director, Fabio Paratici, since he worked for Juventus and now is probably the best time to sign the young hot shot.

Fiorentina knows that they have a top player on their hands and they are looking to make a decent amount from his sale.

With two more seasons left on his current deal, they should be keen to cash in on him.

However, Sky Sports Italia claims that they have just rejected an approach from Atletico Madrid for his signature.

It says the Spanish champions bid £51million for his signature and it was turned down because it wasn’t good enough.

The Italians have confidence that he is worth more and are also sending a message to Tottenham that he will not join them cheaply if they are serious about signing him.
