The last transfer window was a fruitful one for Tottenham as they strengthened their team in most positions.
They didn’t just buy any players, their current form suggests that they signed some of the best players available and now they are reaping the reward of having a fine transfer window.
Their squad is one of the strongest in the Premier League, but if you want to stay competitive, you have to be prepared to keep spending money and that is why they have continued to be linked with a move for players.
Tuttomercatoweb claims that Jose Mourinho is working towards landing two players from the Italian top flight.
The report claims that the Lilywhites have emerged as strong contenders for the signatures of Sami Khedira and Milan Skriniar.
Khedira recently spoke about his love for Jose Mourinho while Skriniar remains a key target for the Lilywhites.
The German will be free to leave Juventus in the January transfer window, but he will likely want a similar salary to what he earns now in Turin.
Inter Milan was open to selling Skriniar in the summer, and the issue was Spurs struggling to pay their asking price.
If the Lilywhites decide to make an acceptable offer next month, he might be sold.

He signed a new contract this summer. With a €42 million release clause, which will be active from next summer (according to the tabloids). A steal. Wages will of course be a problem, as half the top clubs in Europe will try to sign him.
If we’re struggling to fund Skrinia’s reduced price, how do you think we would get Upamecano who would probably be at least twice the money.
Bring back Marcus Edwards. Dumb poch sold him
Dayot is a fkin monster. I’d sign him.
Like that Turkish international Calhanoglu from AC Milan. Plays attacking mid or winger, 13 goals and 11 assists for the Italian side last season. His contract is up in the summer. Could try a cheeky bid come January.
Not so sure about Skriniar. Rather try getting Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.
Whilst both are desirable additions to the squad perhaps we should be looking for additional attacking options heavily reliant on Son and Kane for our goals unlike Chelsea?!!
