Tottenham, Bayern Munich to battle over £18M talent as former Lilywhite eyes move to MLS

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur hopes to upgrade their wing-back situation this summer, and manager Antonio Conte could look to raid his former club. According to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato), the north London club eyes right-back Denzel Dumfries as a possible solution.

However, the Premier League side will have competition as the Italian media outlet also states that Bayern Munich is in the mix for the 26-year-old. When it comes to the asking price, Inter Milan reportedly wants between €35-million and €40-million for the Netherlands international.

Despite it being his first season, if Inter Milan gets an offer suitable for them, they won’t hesitate to sell, considering they did the same last year with Achraf Hakimi.

When it comes to players sold, Tottenham has sold their share of players, including winger Gareth Bale, who had two stints with the north London club, but the twilight of his career could see him head across the pond.

The Washington Post reports D.C. United is talking with Bale’s reps about a move to MLS when his deal expires in June. Both parties exchanged proposals but were unclear whether it will pick up speed.
