Torino is in talks with Benfica to sign Tottenham’s on-loan midfielder, Gedson Fernandes this month.
The Portuguese was one of the first players to join the club when Jose Mourinho was made manager.
His move to London was an 18-month loan stint with the option to sign him permanently for €50m.
The midfielder has failed to show that he can be trusted at the club, and he has made just 2 appearances for them this season.
None has been in the Premier League, and there have been reports that he would be sent back to Portugal.
Tuttomercatoweb via Football Italia is now claiming that Torino wants to sign him on loan for the next six months.
The Italians are currently in the Serie A relegation zone and they see him as an option to improve their results.
They have just named Davide Nicola as their latest manager and they plan to back him with some signings.
Fernandes is one of the most dispensable players at Tottenham at the moment, and the Lilywhites will hardly stand in his way if he asks to join the Italian side.
His move away will help the club save money on the salary that they are paying him now, as he spends most of his time on the bench.
