This is the moment that I stood up and took notice of Giovani Lo Celso.

Few midfielders have the ability to carry teams forward single-handedly like that; the skill to avoid tackles and the strength to hold them off.
Up until this point – January 25th – Lo Celso had only made two Premier League starts for us. By lockdown he was one of our most vital players.
The Argentine’s significant improvement in the New Year is one of the few straws of optimism at which Spurs fans can clutch at for next season.

Lamela gets the assist on paper but that goal is all Lo Celso’s work. Perfect example that judging certain types of players on stats is unjust and inaccurate. Dembele falls into this category. GLC will be top 3 mids itl next season whether his output looks good on paper or not 👍🏼 https://t.co/f4ANAEMhI9

He has a bit of class about him there is no doubt. Like all Spurs’ foreign transfers he had a slow start (no one ever hits the ground running whether it be fitness, injury or they miss their local cafe) and when he got his act together the team’s confidence and performances were shot to bits. He showed a lot of character because although the rest looked poor, he did not.
