Too Many Yellows: Mourinho Must Surely Drop Spurs’ Midfield Dynamo Today?

By The Boy -

Pierre Hojbjerg is treading in the footsteps of Edgar Davids – seeing so many cards, he still thinks it’s Christmas. The Dane to date has accumulated 4, and a 5th would win him an instant star prize, a ban for our next Premier League game, which happens to be Liverpool.

Here are the offending fouls, in reverse order. To be honest, there’s no room for complaint, as I’m struggling to remember a player that has got away with so many tackles that were 50/50 mildly.

Fulham 13.01.2021

Leeds United 02.01.2021

Liverpool 16.12.2020

Everton 13.09.2020

Not in a 343 setup. Winks do not have the pace. I never like it, but with our above defenders it a welcome respite. It is there a faster player than Requilon?

He’s been great for but he needs to exercise control. The yellow against Fulham was deliberate and could see him miss Liverpool

I think he’s got to play H, as really have no-one to replace him. I can’t see Jose resting him, as we badly need the 3 points today.
