Toast: Mourinho’s Brutal Words On Dele Alli’s Latest Fail

By The Boy -

Dele Alli’s time at Tottenham is over. Nice knowing you and all that kiddo, but the days of being selected no matter what under Mauricio Pochettino are over and you will ultimately be remembered by this blogger as all wrap, and very little in the way of gifts. It is ambitious to see how Dele might stage a comeback under the Portuguese. Now Tottenham have a manager who is not prepared to tolerate excuses. José expects the players that his club pays colossal amounts to each week to deliver.

It was another deeply uncomfortable cameo from the now 24-year-old and another brief glimpse of a player that doesn’t deserve to wear the shirt. Yes there are some sublime flicks and tricks in there, but much like the needles that allegedly inhabit haystacks, who has the patience any more to find them?

The good news is that this is all in the public domain now, and so any interested parties have plenty of time to prepare a January window bid.

Under the previous regime (Poch) when we played in the CL or the PL it was the First team ,and we put out anyone who hadn’t had a game or players returning from injuries and academy players in the FA cup & League cup games. What we ended up with was a huge difference in performances, the first team knew each other and the second team looked more like it was thrown together & resulted in losing to inferior opposition.I thought under Jose our second string were strong enough this season but I was so wrong. Is it now time if we are serious about every competition we are involved in, that against top sides we start our strongest 11 and when playing lesser sides rest up to NO more than 3 players, bringing in 3 players who are fresh and who will have to up their game to the level of the first team while keeping the spine of our strongest side.

The worrying thing is that, last night, it wasn’t just Alli who lacked effort. I can only think they thought Antwerp would be easy.

He has the ability, he just doesn’t want to put the effort in. That won’t change.
