There will be no quick return to action for Gareth Bale after he signs

By Bruce Grove -

It is no longer news that Gareth Bale is making a sensational return to England with Tottenham.

After his brilliant first spell at the club, his return is expected to light up the Premier League once again.

The Welsh winger has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu and a return to Spurs on loan is one way for him to get back to playing football again.

The deal is expected to be completed any moment now and finally announced by Tottenham.

However, fans who are excited to watch him play in the Premier League again might not be happy to hear that he will not be playing anytime soon.

TalkSPORT reports that the attacker will join Spurs, but he will need around a month to recover from an injury and also get into top shape before he can make his second debut for Tottenham.

Bale had been frozen out of the first team at Real Madrid and he had hardly played football for much of this year.

Speaking on Thursday morning, talkSPORT host Jim White revealed: “We know that Bale is still in Madrid, he’s at the training ground this morning, in actual fact.

“But it’s our understanding this morning that he is waiting to fly to London and, as soon as he gets the cue that it’s done, he’ll get himself here.

“However, nobody should expect Gareth Bale to turn out for Tottenham any time soon.

“It’s our understanding that when he gets here, when he signs, it will be full training for a month and then he’ll be back to full fitness.

“That makes sense, he’s nursing a knee injury and he hasn’t played regularly for months.”

Bloody “waiting” the bane of my life🌚 he’ll improve us just being here without even getting out onto the pitch anyway. First training session I’d walk into the changing room with all my medals on and tell them all to stand up and say. “Tings will be running different here now. I want more of these with the great club that made me. Anyone and I mean any one who’s lack of effort is preventing me from getting them will have a problem. This club has the best of everything and is the envy of the world, all other clubs are “shook” by the way tottenham are moving. Its up to us now to reflect and bring that out on to the pitch. Right. Sit down lads, how’s it all going and tell me all your “handicaps. Fancy a swing after?

Still no announcement (yes I know its only 4 am in the UK). Just wondering if they are waiting until Monday in case the Saints game doesn’t end well?

I guess Danny has degrees in Land and Expectation Management.
