According to Daily Mail reporter Sami Mokbel, Leicester star Harvey Barnes would snub Spurs for Premier League rivals Aston Villa and West Ham.
Tottenham have already signed James Maddison from Leicester City for £40m, which is already being considered one of the bargains of the summer.
Harvey Barnes is another Leicester player that has been linked with the club with one report previously stating that Spurs had at one point made a combined £50m move for both him and Maddison which was rejected by the Foxes.
Barnes is one of the hugely talented players at the club who will be looking to jump ship after Leicester’s relegation.
He has been linked with other Premier League clubs as well including Aston Villa and West Ham.
And according to Mokbel, he would rather move to the other two clubs than Tottenham.
That’s because he is more likely to get more playing time there than Spurs who already have the likes of Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski, and Richarlison.
Speaking to the Last Word on Spurs, he said:
“You mention Harvey Barnes there, and there is an interest in Harvey Barnes.
“But equally, Harvey Barnes has a number of options and while he would be attracted to Tottenham he may look at that and think ‘wait a minute how often am I going to play here?
“You have Son there you have Kulusevski there and you have Richarlison there. He may look at that situation and think he may be better off elsewhere.
“I think he would look at a club like West Ham or Aston Villa maybe where he knows he would play regularly where at Tottenham there may not be that guarantee.”
Harvey Barnes is at his best when he plays on the left side. The likes of Son or Richarlison are expected to start on the left with Kulusevski on the right and Kane upfront if he stays.
Furthermore, Spurs have also agreed personal terms with Manor Solomon who also is a left winger.
Regardless, he would be a great signing for whoever wins the race to secure his services.
In 187 appearances for Leicester, he has scored 45 and assisted 32 goals.
