Tottenham close in on 4th signing of the summer – ‘personal terms agreed’, medical scheduled – Romano confirms

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement to sign Manor Solomon on a free transfer.

The news has been broken by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter who claims that the North London club have agreed personal terms with the player and that a medical is scheduled to take place next week.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted:

EXCLUSIVE: Tottenham have reached verbal agreement with Manor Solomon, here we go!

Deal in place as medical tests have been scheduled for next week.Solomon agreed personal terms.

He’s joining Spurs as free agent — if all goes to plan with Shakhtar and FIFA rules.

Tottenham have been interested to sign him after being impressed by his performances for Fulham where he spent the season on loan.

It was previously reported by ONE that Tottenham are jumping to sign him on a bargain this summer after it was revealed that he will be available on a free transfer due to FIFA’s rules regarding the region.

Shakhtar were left furious with FIFA’s decision to allow foreign nationals employed in Ukraine and Russia to unilaterally suspend their contracts if they wished to leave the region. The change in law came in view of the war going on between the two countries.

Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin had threatened to take Tottenham to court if they try to sign Manor Solomon this summer.

But that has not stopped Daniel Levy from grabbing the opportunity and agree a deal with the highly talented player.

With personal terms agreed and the player set for a move, it is interesting to see if the Palkin follows through on his threats.
